You can now help your favourite long-running West End show win a coveted Olivier Award, and all without moving from your PC, laptop or phone.
Voting for the Magic Radio Audience Award, the only Olivier Award decided entirely by public vote, is now open. You can make your vote count by visiting the Olivier Awards website.
This year there are 16 shows eligible for the publically voted prize. They are Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, Jersey Boys, Disney’s The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Matilda The Musical, Les Misérables, The Mousetrap, The Phantom Of The Opera, The Railway Children, Stomp, Sunny Afternoon, The Play That Goes Wrong, The Woman In Black and Thriller Live.
As a line-up of shows, it already boasts more prizes than an entire series of Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, including Best New Musical, Best New Comedy and Best New Play winners among its ranks. But that won’t dampen any eagerness to be recognised as London’s favourite show this year.
Theatre fans have until 12:00 on Friday 11 March to cast their all-important vote and decide which show will take the crown from 2015’s Audience Award winner Wicked.
The shortlist of four shows with the most votes will be unveiled by Magic Radio on Monday 14 March. The winner will be announced, along with all the other Olivier winners, at the Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard on Sunday 3 April.
The list of shows, stars and creative talent in the running for this year’s Olivier Awards will be announced on 29 February at an event held at Rosewood London. As the news partner of the Olivier Awards, we’ll be on hand to bring you every nominee as soon as they’re announced.
