Bird Of Night

Dominique Le Gendre’s new opera is the tale of Appolline, a girl who wants to harness mystical powers to fly. Appolline has other problems, she’s not sure who her real parents are, nor does she know the part her godmother’s powers will play in her story.

Appolline’s story is flavoured with both good and bad Caribbean mythology.
